WHITE MILANO continues to collect excellent numbers: a 14% increase in foreign buyers (compared to the February 2016 edition). An inflow of visitors that reached 23,129 with a total increase of 4%, while overall buyers increased by 6%. Foreign buyers grew significantly by 14% which somehow seems to anticipate the September 2017 edition that will bring together fairs and fashion shows. The show, under the patronage of the City of Milan, featured 511 brands – on 20 thousand square metres of exhibition space – including 145 foreign brands and 189 new entries, thus underlining the creative value of the Tortona Fashion District, also in consideration of the great changes planned for Milan and the fashion events in September 2017.

The energy spent at each edition of the show and the determination to cooperate with the Milanese institutions are the engines that drive us towards new goals every season

explains Massimiliano Bizzi, founder di WHITE.

Some of the highlights of the three days of the show include the cosmopolitan design by Laura Bihl and her brand Sainte Courtisane, winner of the fifth edition of the Ramponi Award; the creative excursus of Lucio Costa, showcased in the SO LUCIO installation! at the My Own Gallery and the talent of Irma Cipolletta, who won the Inside Award presented by Sofia Tchkonia, creative director of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week of Tbilisi.

The show continues to support Made In Italy companies, with the IT’S TIME TO CONTEMPORARY ARTISAN project developed by MIAC and launched by WHITE in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese. This project has shone a light on the different souls of craftsmanship with an exhibition concept focusing on three directives: WHITE STUDIO, WHITE ARTISAN LOUNGE and WHITE FOLIES, each with a specific manufacturing expression.

The next show is scheduled for 17 to 19 June 2017.
