The Parisian designer Pierre Hardy and the former NY Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz, have undertaken a creative collaboration together that has resulted in the creation of the VC1 basketball sneaker, which is characterised by a strong fashion appeal. Proposed in three different versions, VC1 recalls some of the most important moment’s in this athlete’s life: 1996, the year in which he was introduced to the game of football; 2006, the year in which his father and grandfather passed away; and 2012, the year in which he won the Super Bowl together with the New York Giants.

The shape of the VC1 is similar to the Comet Treker by Pierre Hardy: with an oversize sole and typical zigzag design on the midsole. The fastening is complex and the upper is proposed in three different colours: 1996 in suede turquoise, brown crocodile, and red neoprene; 2006 in all-black with black&white fastening; and the 2012 in the white, red, and blue colours of the Giants. All the models feature a rear band.

The shoes are for sale on the e-commerce site of Pierre Hardy and in the brand’s stores in New York, Paris, and Tokyo.
