Inspired by the beautiful aesthetics of “In The Mood For Love” movie by Wong Kar-wai, Alain Tondowski’s 2017 S/S collection interprets the glamour of the sixties in a contemporary way through a sinuous game of materials and prints.

Key words of the collection: new sophistication and artistic spirit, expressed through the meticulous work of the French designer Tondowski. Origami in PVC, transparent heels, leopard prints on water snake skin in acid tones are some of the characterizing elements of the new collection. Lacquer red, green and other bright colours elegantly combine with black through the clever and bold use of silver and mordoré.

For this season, special attention is given to “Blondie”, the charming 6-cm high kitten heel that has become an identifying symbol of the brand. It features in pumps, sandals and flip-flops. A lot of room has also been made for “Icon” sandals and sabots with an architectural taste and covered heel, which are elegant, original and eclectic. The new “Kyoto” structure intertwines between the toes and has a waxed wooden platform. One of the must-haves of the collection, it expresses a Japanese mood conveyed in an urban and chic fashion.
