Diego della Valle, owner of the Tod’s group, plays down the drop in sales experienced during the first nine months of the years by Tod’s, with a 3.7% downtrend over the same period in 2015, and a turnover equal to 751.9 million euros. In fact, he remains optimistic for the end of the fiscal year, convincing also the stock market of this. Among the brands of the group, Tod’s performance was the worst, with its sales down from 453.3 to 419.4 million euros:

The drop in sales compared to last year – states the group in an official communication – reflects the weak demand in the main markets for luxury goods, resulting above all from the sharp drop in tourist numbers.

Even the numbers of Hogan have fallen by 2.8% for a total of 171.9 million euros, while Fay and Roger Vivier registered positive figures, which are respectively +4.1% for 45.5 million euros and +6.9% for 119.8 million euros. Instead, among the markets experiencing a downtrend are China (-8.9%), the USA (-6%), together with Europe and Italy (respectively -0.7% e -4%). On the contrary, South Korea has experienced a double-digit growth in its sales.
