Swimrun, the multidisciplinary sport that has seen the number of competitions worldwide increase from 30 to more than 500 competitions since 2014, includes running and swimming in alternate fractions without change zones; this means that athletes must run wearing a wetsuit and swim wearing shoes.
Salming OT Comp was realized specifically for disciplines – such as swimrun and orienteering, for example – where the sudden change of land and conditions requires a shoe with excellent traction and adaptability.
Michelin’s know-how made it possible to realize a dynamic sole that, along with the upper designed by Salming, offers fundamental support to those wearing the shoe. Light, 256 grams, it is equipped with the innovative ‘fiber lite’ developed by Michelin: with hot melt fibres and rubber, it is possible to obtain a flexible yet stable, lightweight tread. The making of Salming OT Comp’s upper is characterized by a light mesh body that has a high water drainage capacity and excellent breathability.

SWIMRUN CHEERS is a project born in 2016 from Diego Novella and Veronica Castelli’s passion, with a specific mission: to organize tests that give the possibility to try the discipline on a route accessible to everyone in total safety and to try the dedicated equipment; to carry on the Swimrun OtillO spirit, according to which it is the land to define the distance of the competition; to bring to light the story and the excellencies of the land through which the route passes.
