ShoesRoom by Momad, the new event organised by IFEMA in collaboration with FICE, which is aimed at becoming the commercial and image platform of reference for the footwear industry in Spain, has definitely started off on the right foot.  The entire exhibition area of La Nave, close to the centre of Madrid, in fact, has been fully booked and will see the participation of 80 footwear companies, including many state-of-the-art Made in Spain footwear brands. Among them will be included Callaghan, Wonders, Mustang, Unisa, Gioseppo, Jaime Mascaró, Sison, Alma de Candela, Gaimo and Victoria, but also Pons Quintana, Pertini, Exé, Chie Mihara, Alma en Pena, Azarey, Vidorreta, United Nude, Arche, Som.mits, Kayakstorms, Aerobica and Nero Giardini, among others.
In addition to the striking and trendy location – so different from the traditional trade fair venue – the event will also be characterised by its show dates (from Friday to Sunday) that are strategically positioned on the trade fair calendar at the end of the season, along with the ‘showroom’ formula of its format that is especially advantageous for businesses since it requires a lower investment cost for participating brands, while in any case capably highlighting all the brands present and their collections.
Internationalisation, innovation, sustainability and an international scope are the cornerstones of ShoesRoom by Momad, also thanks to an ambitious programme of international buyers fine-tuned together with ICEX, which will attract the most important stores and distribution chains from five continents to the fair.
Last, but not least, there will also be the Innovation Awards, the awards for innovation that were presented at the most recent edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which are aimed at encouraging research and innovation in the footwear industry. The prizes have five categories: Innovation in Technology; Innovation in Corporate Social Responsibility; Fashion Innovation; Innovation in Retail and Trajectory.
Companies interested in participating should send their documentation to by 21 February 2019, and the winners will be announced on the first day of ShoesRoom by Momad on 1 March. For further information:
