Established firms and emerging brands for the event dedicated to women’s contemporary fashion: after the success of last February, the show confirms its location in the former Ansaldo Laboratory in Via Tortona 58, thereby taking place in the same area as the concomitant fair of White. Instead the duration of Super changes, increasing to 4 days from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 September, with the opening day scheduled one day earlier on the calendar.
“The global women’s fashion market is continually evolving – says Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine – and so we need to study it from an increasingly closer angle to stay ahead of any new developments and be ready to make the right decisions. So, we have made this move with Super, thinking mainly of the accessory and women’s prêt-à-porter producers we have involved in our new format and of the needs of more sophisticated international buyers. By bringing forward our opening date, a decision made after careful analysis of foreign buyer flows, we gain a very busy day. We strongly believe in Super, in the originality of a formula that teams research, internationalism, promotion of young talents and special projects. Therefore we are investing in this project, selecting quality companies, boosting our services, hosting top-level retailers, and working hard on innovative forms of communication”.
