Founded in 1953, Super Tannery Limited is the oldest tannery in Northern India, and today enjoys a solid reputation on the global market both in the global supply chain of quality leathers, as well as in the manufacturing of finished products, with clear advantages over the competition in terms of raw material sourcing and chemical testing.
The company, in fact, first got its start by processing around 50 buffalo rawhides a day, an activity that was soon extended to include the processing of leathers for vegetable-tanned soles. Always attentive to the evolving needs of the market and with a farsighted vision of the future, Supper Tannery Limited next decided to diversify its business, flanking its tannery business with the production of safety and lifestyle footwear, leather goods and belts, while also subcontracting out to leading brands worldwide.
Today, the collection of footwear is divided into three separate lines:
- Waterproof, with breathable water-resistant membrane
- Lightweight sole and extra fitting
- Fashion Trend
The fashion division extends over a surface of 5,500 square meters, employing around 400 workers, and producing for the leading designer labels in men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear. Moreover, it can count on an in-house production facility dedicated to the manufacturing of TPR, PVC, and handmade rawhide soles.
The division dedicated to safety and professional footwear, instead, extends over an area of 6,400 square meters, employing 600 workers, and can count on the support of highly technological machinery imported from and above all made in Germany and Italy, like for example the three 24-station Desma machines that are completely automated for direct injection with single and dual density processes. Moreover, the company has 24 stations for the direct injection processes of PVC soles production and 16 machines for direct vulcanization processes in the production of nitrile rubber soles.
Super Tannery Limited is also an extremely dynamic Group when it comes to charitable initiatives, actively taking part in them through the organization Amin Welfare Trust, which is socially committed to supporting education and healthcare, while also assisting the poor, through the Super International School and the Chaundry Ehsan Kareem Hospital, for example.
Last, but not least, Super Tannery Limited is committed to respecting and protecting the environment through the use of technologies and machinery that reduce pollution, while keeping the environmental impact to a minimum.
