The Villa Foscarini Rossi Footwear Museum in Strà is one of the many fashion museums featured as a protagonist on the “We Wear Culture” virtual exhibition proposed on the “Google Arts & Culture” platform, with all the extraordinary shoes of its archive and three shows that are dedicated to discovering the secrets of Rossimoda, ancient Venetian shoes, and Brenta’s Footwear Manufacturers, whose fame has reached around the globerossimoda.

After all, leaving an iconic object of fashion like the shoe out of the exhibition was unthinkable. In fact, it is not by chance that the leading protagonists responsible for shaping its history are featured on the site.  Naturally, we are speaking of none other than Salvatore Ferragamo, whose story, together with the many patents defining his carrier, are presented on the platform.  There are then his fantastic multicolour wedges, sandals with nylon laces, but also the legendary pink stilettos worn by Marilyn Monroe, as the protagonists of a virtual reality video, and the pieces specifically created for the muse Audrey Hepburn.  “We Wear Culture” also offers the possibility to virtually visit the Ferragamo Museum of Footwear.

More recent, but no less famous, Manolo Blahnik is the other great shoe designer of the virtual exhibition:  his story and his sexy and eccentric creations that have won the hearts of shoe-addicted fans around the world are revealed in fantastic shots.
