When, especially at the end of autumn and in the early winter, speed is required on rugged terrains with muddy and rocky tracts, agility and soil control become indispensable features. Based on these requirements, SALEWA has developed the Ultra Flex Mid GTX, a shoe with an average cut protecting the ankle and isolating the foot from water like a trekking boot, but offering lightness and the typical adherence of a trail shoe.

Designed to foster agility and rapid movements, the Ultra Flex Mid GTX has been equipped with the patented SALEWA Flex Collar system, a key innovation that increases the ankle flexion by 20% to make faster movements and provide greater comfort during the descent.

The shoe is equipped with Michelin Technical Soles, a sole developed to provide traction and stability on different ground conditions. It facilitates and speeds up the natural roll movement, since the heel touches the ground and pushes off the forefoot. It offers an excellent traction during slope-crossing, an excellent adaptability on different terrains and perfect self-cleaning.
