Pitti Bimbo: research and across-the-board proposalsResearch and across-the-board proposals are the watchwords for the 85th edition of the international fair dedicated to children’s fashion to be held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from 22 to 24 June 2017.
In terms of research, the show presents an increasingly extensive and highly innovative selection in order to satisfy an increasingly sophisticated and demanding market. Accordingly, the pedal is put to the metal on sections like Kidfizz, the most important research area of the show with its 117 brands, 75% of which are foreign, making it also the most international; but also on The Nest, with its indie brands from around the globe, and Ecoethic with its eco-friendly collections.
Next to these, the heart of the Pitti Bimbo event maintains a high level of appeal, with its leading international brands, Sport Generation with its activewear brands, and Superstreet with its streetwear and denimwear, ending in the luxury collections of Apartment.
The universal nature of the proposal is the other aspect of the event that brings together the different worlds in kids’ fashion, with an increasing focus on the design and accessories. By now, the latter represents a third of the Pitti Bimbo selection, featuring footwear as the great protagonist, with names like Lelly Kelly, Giuseppe (the junior line of Zanotti that returns to the Fortezza after a period of absence), Bensimon, etc….
Across-the-board is also the proposal of the Fancy Room dedicated to children’s lifestyle brands, ranging from designer items and small accessories, to gadgets and technology that also influences Editorials, which at this edition are dedicated to the themes “Food Flair”, with the participation of mini MasterChefs, and “Happy Camp”, with its outdoor lifestyle.
Pitti Bimbo will host a total of 538 collections, 322 of which are from abroad, for 60% of the total, a figure that makes the show dedicated to childrenswear the most international of the various Pitti Immagine shows.
Enriching the event will also be the many events and special projects, starting with “Boom Pitti Bloom”, the floral theme of the Pitti summer fairs that is especially suited to childrenswear, with its blossoming of creative and playful contents. Among the many protagonists of the program will be included Herno, Roberto Cavalli Junior, Inglesina, Stella Jean, Tommy Hilfiger, La Martina… There will then be the fashion shows that return to the Sala della Ronda with protagonists like Children’s Fashion from Spain, Gaialuna, Ronny Kay, Fun & Fun, She.ver, Little Star and I Pinco Pallino, which return to the fair after a few seasons of absence. Outside the fair there will instead be the usual fashion show staged by Monnalisa, this time in the amazing location of Corsini Palace. There will then be the events of Petit Bateau and Roberto Cavalli Junior at Serre Torrigiani, and the guided visit to the winning masterpiece “The adoration of the Magi”, which Goganga has dedicated to buyers and the press.
With these contents, the organizers of Pitti Immagine expect to reconfirm the ten thousand-plus visitors registered at the previous summer edition, 5,600 of which will include Italian and foreign buyers.
