Mosshoes ends with a +10% uptrend in visitors and exhibitors

Mosshoes has just celebrated its 20th anniversary and is shining brighter than ever before. The edition held from 5 to 8 September 2017 in fact ended with remarkable results: +10% in professional visitors, +10% in exhibiting companies representing the different sections of the fair, and a program of special contents that maintained a high level of interest among operators at the fair.

_mg_7962Completely international in both its supply and demand, 520 exhibitors coming from 27 different countries presented their Spring-Summer 2018 footwear collections to more than 11 thousand visitors coming not only from Russia, but also from nearby Kazakhstan, Belarus, Lithuania and Georgia. Among the exhibitors were around sixty new entries and returners to the fair, next to the collective expositions of Germany, Brazil, Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Armenia and China, with the European brands represented by Italy, Spain, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Portugal, etc.…

Next to the wide selection, operators also appreciated the exhibition itinerary that presented thematic areas dedicated to children’s footwear, orthopaedic footwear, and preventive shoes. There was then the “Leather and Components” exhibition organised in collaboration with the Russian Union of Tanners and Shoe makers, which showcased the collections of leathers, components and materials, chemical products and equipment for shoe and leather product manufacturing presented by 89 firms from 12 countries worldwide. Instead, “Retail Concept” hosted 29 companies including the sponsor Ecco, along with Tamaris, Zenden, Mascotte and Thomas Munz, which presented their franchise proposals, while the experts of the Russian Franchising Association and Franchising Academy held master-classes on the latest technologies and particularities of footwear business based on franchising.  _mg_8238

Taking place in conjunction with Mosshoes was “Mospel”, the event dedicated to leather products, bags, accessories, travel items, and gifts, with a selection of 62 companies coming from 9 countries worldwide. From the selection, buyers especially appreciated the Made in Italy bags and accessories; the suitcases and travel bags presented by Chinese manufacturers at the collective booth of CCCLA Association; and the umbrellas, gloves, scarves and belts presented by the Turkish manufacturers headed by the Saraciye Association. Moreover, there was a noticeable increase in the number of Mospel visitors, since retailers are increasingly active in introducing bags, various accessories and gifts into their product ranges, in order to enlarge the offering of their stores, while also maintaining and increasing the average purchase value. _mg_8085

Finally, Mosshoes also hosted an extensive business program with an inside look at the sector’s most relevant issues, from the briefing on the future law on mandatory shoes labelling, to the first Mosshoes retail forum held on the third day of the exhibition dedicated to retail with the contribution of sector experts.

The next edition of Mosshoes will be held from 16 to 19 January 2018, in its off-season version, and from 13 to 16 March 2018 for the presentation of the Fall/Winter 2018-19 collections.
