Today, the work & safety industry has the exclusive and unique technologies of Michelin at its service for increasing the end product’s level of safety and reliability. Brands like Airtox, Chaud Devant, Garsport, Iturri, Kapriol, Magnum, SIR and ToWorkFor have chosen the French company of tyres to improve their safety footwear proposals.

 

CHAUD DEVANT: A MICHELIN STAR SHOE

Specifically developed for Michelin star chefs and those individuals inspired by their skill, the Dutch company Chaud Devant has joined its forces with a well-known brand in the world of fine dining: MICHELIN has taken its in-depth expertise in advanced ground contact and put it into the new GT1pro Magister, which is fitted with a MICHELIN outsole capable of offering an advanced level of control and adherence on kitchen floors. A highly technological product in line with Chaud Devant’s production, which uses only first-rate materials, together with research and meticulous care aimed to creating a professional and high performance product, with excellent anti-slip properties. At the same time, this technology allows for rapid multidirectional movements, without ever losing adherence, so that the work environment is always safe, while making the life of the chef more comfortable. The MICHELIN technical outsole designed in collaboration with Chaud Devant is characterised by the special features of two very different tyres that are worlds apart in terms of final use: the MICHELIN Pilot Sport 3 (from the segment of rally tyres) and the MICHELIN Stargrip bike tyre (for city bikes). The often violent off-road shocks and slipperiness typical of damp and wet urban roads serve as the inspiration for the anti-slip grip of this new outsole. The compound is suited to the most extreme conditions of slipping, offering a high level of resistance to abrasion, chemicals, minerals, and oils, with perfect adherence ensured.

TOWORKFOR AND MICHELIN: A MODERN VISION OF WORK SHOES

High performance shoes, designed and developed specifically with the risks and needs of workers in mind, thanks to a unique partnership between the Portuguese footwear brand ToWorkFor and MICHELIN branded soles. The technical footwear of ToWorkFor relies on a number of high performance features: perfect protection, excellent stability and traction in the most extreme outdoor working environments, and excellent water drainage capabilities, all of which is combined with maximum comfort and a dynamic style. The new collection of ToWorkFor Full Grip safety footwear, with the models Formula, Wheels, and Traction, can count on a MICHELIN sole conceived from the combined advantages of two winter rally tyres, the MICHELIN X-ICE NORTH 3 and MICHELIN NA00a. The Michelin Technical Soles team has designed each part of the sole for a specific function, with the aim of ensuring maximum adherence, traction, and stability on all surface types, whether they are dry or wet, and gravel or ice. Technologically advanced features are proposed side-by-side with a classic, but aggressive look. Materials, like a lining in breathable mesh fabric on the upper and direct injected polyurethane midsole, do not allow for any compromises when it comes to the quality of this footwear. From one end, the upper guarantees safety and a high level of protection, while from the other end, it ensures comfort and a striking design. The sole is made from a compound specifically developed with a high resistance to abrasion, oils, grease, and heat, with antistatic properties. The heel and toes are characterised by a more simplified design and greater lug density in order to increase the durability of the sole.
