The entire career of Michael Romberg has revolved around the Wortmann Group: from his first day of training in the company in 1996 to present-drombergay times.  His very first job in the company was working in the Wortmann KG sales department that manages the Tamaris brand.  In 2000, he became part of the Jana Shoes sales department, where he was promoted in 2009, thanks to his great efforts and consistent results, to the position of Collection, Sales, and Marketing Manager.  Under his leadership, the company experienced constant growth and continued to expand its reach in international markets.  Even the collections became more expansive, with the introduction of the independent lines Be Natural and Softline.

With the decision to extend its shareholding portfolio, Wortmann was able to ensure a future for itself, as well as the long-term continuity needed to guarantee significant growth.

The Wortmann Group is one of the main producers and distributors of footwear in Europe, as well as a leader in the segment of women’s fashion footwear.  Its collections are distributed around the world to more than 70 different nations and through a network of 15 thousand shoe shops worldwide.  Besides Jana and the top brand Tamaris, the portfolio of the Group located in Detmold includes the directly owned brands of Marco Tozzi, Caprice, and S. Oliver.  To these can be added the Asian branch of Novi Footwear Far East Pte Ltd.
Wortmann is also known for the sheer size of its workforce, with 1,100 directly employed workers and 30 thousand workers employed by the production plants serving the company.
