The chosen location of the brand obsessed over in Sex and the City is Marina Bay Sands, the triple tower complex that represents one of the main attractions in Singapore with its luxury hotel, casino, museum, restaurants and theatres, topped with an infinity pool and sky park.

“Marina Bay Sands is one of the most recognised places in Singapore. – comments Kristina Blahnik, the label’s CEO – At the forefront for its innovative architecture, luxury boutiques and leisure entertainment, it is the location with an ideal concept for hosting Manolo Blahnik”.

The new location, opened to the public on May 16, was created by Nick Leith-Smith, a longtime collaborator of the brand, who skillfully melds Blahnik’s unique vision with elements of local architecture, materials and cultural context. The inspiration stems from Pierre Chareau’s Maison de Verre, with the space framed in cubist metal and glass geometries. Instead, the use of bamboo and checkered floors conveys a more natural feel and contrasts the modernist glass elements.

The opening in Singapore is part of the project entrusted to the Bluebell Group, which is aimed at “optimising and restructuring” Manolo Blahnik distribution in this part of the world, following the recent openings in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Malaysia.
