Present in Italy since 2015, the year in which the first store was inaugurated in Rome, the multinational company specialised in athletic fashion continues to reinforce its position on the Italian national territory with an opening in Nola and the plans to open six other stores by the end of the year: in Aprilia (Rome), Afragola (Naples), Sesto San Giovanni (Milan), Maximo Lauretino (Rome), Cremona and Bari.
For now, there are 25 Italian JD Sports stores distributed across the 11 regions of the peninsula. JD Sports ended 2018 with sales equal to 5.4 billion euros, for a growth trend equal to +49.2%. Its EBITDA rose by +26.8% for 559.4 million euros, while gross profits were up +17.1% at 414 million euros.

Outside of Italy, JD Sports is continuing to expand in European markets (after an opening in Finland, Austria will be the next to see an opening). At the same time, in Pacific Asia, it has already opened its first stores in Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea with local partner Shoemaker. Finally, in December, it also inaugurated 5 stores in the USA.
