Launched in long-ago 1978 as a company specialised in the production of PVC footwear, today, Grendene is a leading reality worldwide, with an extensive portfolio of successful brands: Melissa, the celebration of democratic design; Ipanema, feminine fashion; Rider, the ‘Lifeaholic’ style for the new generation; Cartago, casual fashion for the contemporary man; Zaxy, a feminine kind of casual for all occasions; Grendha, a tropical world of feminine inspiration, and Grendene Kids.
A bona fide ‘giant’ on the international footwear manufacturing panorama, not only is it the leading exporter of Brazilian footwear, it is also one of the biggest worldwide, with an international capillary presence and more than 120 thousand points of sale.

It is also a company that has never stopped innovating and projecting itself towards the future, bringing the one-of-a-kind sunny spirit of Brazil to the entire world. Today, Grendene returns to Micam with many brand new proposals that concern mainly children’s footwear. The company, in fact, has signed an agreement with Mattel for the international licenses of Barbie, Hot Wheels, Justice League and Miraculous, which have more than 30 years behind them in being proposed on the Brazilian market: a world of sandals, but also sneakers and boots, allowing children around the globe to wear the adventures of their most beloved heroes. There’s more: among the new offerings, there is also the launching of the new Copacabana brand at Expo Riva Schuh this past January, which is characterised by a tropical look and complete sense of freedom, at an especially advantageous price for volume purchases (store chains, purchasing groups, etc.).

In line with the company’s strategies and plans for commercial development is also the expansion of the Grendha collection, which today proposes next to its iconic PVC sandals, a new line of sneakers and slip-ons with elasticized knitwear upper and removable EVA insole, capable of combining fashion and comfort at a fair price (sold between 20 to 49 euros a pair to the general public).
