Giuseppe Zanotti: expansion in Asia and ItalyNew store openings and a focus on Russia
Giuseppe Zanotti continues along its unstoppable path of growth: the brand belonging to the Vicini group, in which L Catteron holds a 30% stake, forecasts a 2017 year-end turnover of 177 million euros, for a 2.9% increase over 2016, and announces a series of new openings to take place above all in Asia and Italy.
After the recent openings in Wuhan, Singapore and Tokyo, two other openings are expected to take place in Asia at the beginning of 2018: a third store in Macao and a new sales outlet in Changchun.
Protagonist of the Italian opening is instead the capital: next to the flagship store in the extremely prestigious location of Piazza di Spagna, Zanotti recently opened two corner stores in the new La Rinascente department store dedicated respectively to the men’s and women’s selections.
In addition to the brand’s attentiveness to traditional retail, which will see Russia under the spotlight in 2018, the designer label is also working to reinforce its online channel, which is another source of great satisfaction: today it reaches 35 countries worldwide, with an annual growth of 60%.
In terms of product, the SS 2018 collection of the brand takes its inspiration directly from the 90’s with fluo highlights, scuba fabrics and glam effects. Some of the leading pieces of the collection include the Picard wedge in an ultra-glam fuchsia version and new luxurious reeditions of the Kendra sandal. There is also a nod to biker and combat boots with an aggressive look, and black nappa boots, which, thanks to their innovative zip, can be transformed into thigh-high boots.
