Always British style, but with a greater opening up to leisure wear, is how the Spring-Summer 2018 collection by Downtown, the men’s luxury brand of footwear that is the brainchild of Gianni Gallucci, presents itself.
The collection that will be the protagonist at Pitti Uomo in just a few days’ time continues to focus on the classic world of lace-ups and moccasins made using the most exquisite materials, with shapes that are innovative in their volumes.

At the same time, it also presents two innovative proposals that take their cue from the concept of free time, which are destined to become the must-haves of the season.  The first is a minimal low-top sneaker, which replicates the sophisticated Brit style dear to the brand, with exquisite leathers like deerskin, contrasting finishes, and details of sartorial stitching that bring the concept of luxury into the sports world.  Next to these are espadrilles made using the noble Goodyear Welt construction technique.  In ultra-soft suede and tinted in an endless variety of colours, an already iconic object is transformed into an exclusive accessory.
