Frau celebrates its first 65 years of history by presenting a héritage sneaker and a FW 2017-18 collection that renews the founding values of the brand:  quality, constant stylistic research, continuous technological experimentation, and the promotion of Italian craft workmanship.

Neutral colours, white or black with contrasting laces, for celebratory sneakers that bear an imprint on the back of a no. 5 on one shoe and a no. 2 on the other, as a reminder of Frau’s founding year, 1952.  There are two versions:  for him, in plain leather; and for her, a livelier version with metalized effects and velvet laces. Directly from the Frau Maison archives, this sneaker is ready to celebrate the first 65 years of Frau.

The rest of the FW 2017-18 collection continues with the theme of combining tradition with a cutting-edge style, in the pure spirit of this Verona-based brand. The proposal for women focuses on fringes and frills as a way of softening the mannish-style line of models, with updates provided by patent leather and metalized leather. Velvet is instead the protagonist of the most romantic proposals decorated with froufrou bows and of a line with a Mediterranean vintage style characterized by floral embroideries.

Finally, a rock spirit is expressed through studs, nails, and metal inserts for models with a more aggressive look. The men’s collection instead replies to the many facets of the contemporary man: new dandy; hipster; neo-classic, vintage, urban… If classic proposals for the neo dandy are enriched by striking details, which are never commonplace, the hipster style features a used character that is conveyed through pumiced leathers, while urban streetwear is inspired by the outdoor world with high performance shoes, technical finishes and rubber running outsoles.
