“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades”: Franceschetti, the Marches brand of men’s luxury footwear, entrusts the declaration of intent of its “Trompe l’Oeil Shoes” capsule collection to the immortal words of Audrey Hepburn, an unforgettable icon of elegance.
The capsule develops five different versions of the tapered slipper model with accessories painted by hand on the upper.
Thus, the merging between craft workmanship-art that has increasingly characterised the proposals of Franceschetti in recent seasons is reinforced. The decorations designed on the upper include the snaffle, an accessory typical of moccasins, fringes with tufts, the flap held by the double buckle typical of monk straps, and wing tip tassels… elements that come to life thanks to artistic optical illusions and a skilled use of chiaroscuro that only the glass-like finish practiced by Franceschetti since 1920 manages to successfully highlight.
All footwear of the capsule collection is then finished with a motto dedicated to the theme of elegance, which is etched onto the underside of the shoe: five phrases reproduced in five distinct handwritings to complete the concept of the different models.
