The cost of the operation was around 220 million euros and the closing of the deal will occur during the first quarter of 2019.

Satisfied with the deal, José Neves, founder and CEO of Farfetch, declared: “This acquisition allows us to develop ourselves in the growing market of sneakers and streetwear, by permitting our two companies to leverage each other’s strengths in going after the exciting and fast-growing segment of luxury fashion”.

Founded in 2015 by John McPheters and Jed Stiller, Stadium Goods is not just an online platform, but also has an active store in Soho, New York.
