After its initial round in South Africa, Expo Riva Schuh Around the World, the project promoting the Riva event to the main global footwear manufacturing markets of reference, which is organized in collaboration with the ICE Agency and the Ministry of Economic Development, will arrive in Stockholm on 12 October.

The Swedish capital will host a day of meetings dedicated to a delegation of buyers coming from Scandinavia and their Made in North neighbouring countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Latvia and Estonia. “The objective of these meetings – says Carla Costa, Manager of the Fairs Department of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi – is, above all, to talk with buyers and footwear companies from various markets to understand the specific needs of each of them. It is a vital step forward for our exhibition, not just based on an abstract strategy, but starting out from real, concrete requests from the marketplace”. stockholm-shoe-house-2017-utan-67logo

The event will be hosted by the Stockholm Shoe House, the largest permanent showroom in the Scandinavian area dedicated to footwear brands, with an introduction all about Expo Riva Schuh conducted by Carla Costa. This will be followed by a focus on the key trends in the worldwide retail sector introduced by Enrico Cietta, Senior Partner of the Diomedea agency, ending with an opportunity for debate and discussion amongst those present.

The meeting will then adjourn to the premises of the Italian Embassy in Stockholm, where, in the afternoon, a networking lunch will be held with the press, sector operators and institutions. The day will conclude with a round table discussion to examine the characteristics and requirements of each of the individual markets represented by the buyers.

This event in Stockholm confirms the international pivotal role of Expo Riva Schuh as a business platform that brings together supply and demand in a continuous exchange of information, ideas and new prospects.
