Limonta S.p.A., which serves the clothing, leather and footwear industry with its Fabrics and Coatings division, proves itself to always be sensitive to the theme of ‘sustainability’.

Currently, even though their collections already include highly sustainable products (the use of renewable materials, the substitution of potentially hazardous components for humans and the environment), Limonta is working on a project that gives these products, and the even more innovative ones yet to come, the right emphasis. Furthermore, they are already replacing a number of the more successful items with sustainable options, both from an environmental and social perspective.

One of Limonta’s objectives is to create a more specific and prompt measuring and evaluation system for its own processes and products, so they can get a clear and objective understating of the exact figures in terms of sustainability, enabling them to set increasingly ambitious targets.

The two models on this page contain a high content of natural raw materials, which have been put together using a cold technology (low energy consumption) that does not rely on solvents: Therse (41% wool, 28% polyester, 21% nylon, 10% polyurethane), which exploits the intrinsic waterproof properties of wool, without subjecting it to flurocarbon-based waterproofing treatments, and Rachel Tf Cabinato (92% cotton, 8% acrylic).
