Great attention to wearability in the new CLEO B collection that focuses on trims such as clips that can be used according to mood

Great attention to wearability is the defining factor of the new winter collection from Cleo B, a brand launched in 2009 on the initiative of British designer Cleo Barbour who began learning with Nicholas Kirkwood and then continued by working in Florence in the design department of Salvatore Ferragamo.

Named “Calligram”, the new collection is inspired by Lebanese graffiti, a form of street art that echoes ancient Arab calligraphy. A range of functional models that can be worn from morning to night thanks to features such as a new more solid and comfy heel and the boot than can be transformed from knee to ankle height by means of a practical zipper.

As always Cleo research is based on choosing the most luxurious leathers and the colours. For this season the designer has opted for a palette of tones that recall precious gem stones with an accent of ocean blue and amethyst, together with tortoiseshell and touches of bright orange, turquoise and pink. Soft suede and nappa are the materials chosen to interpret models of essential lines that catch the eye by calling attention to metal details such as zips and gold plates.

As well as coordinated bags, this year the British designer has decided to make accessories even more versatile by creating various trimmings that can be simply clipped to footwear, including pompoms in lapin on a leather base, bouquets of coloured crystals and metal bows.
