Children’s shoes and envyThe 86th edition of MICAM confirms the continuation of the event’s initiatives in the iKIDS area, with leading brands in children’s footwear as the protagonists of the iKIDSQUARE at the entrance to Hall 4.
More opportunities to do business and network, but also to exchange know-how in the world of children’s footwear: an integral part of the MICAM’s project, the iKID section continues to stand out, confirming its advantageous position at the entrance to Hall 4, while offering an area dedicated to relaxation, dining, and information in the striking iKIDSQUARE that will also host the fashion trends and retail seminars staged by WGSN for this kind of footwear. Many prestigious names will be present in the area including Naturino, Missouri, Romagnoli, Zecchino d’Oro, Arnetta, Shoesy… with a few brands also present in other halls of the fair, as is the case of Primigi and Melania.
A selection that will be the Envy of all concerned: this is the sin with which Italian footwear continues its allegorical journey in Purgatory, while also serving as the theme of the 86th edition of MICAM. Shoes for dreaming and shoes to envy: among the more than 1360 collections on show in the FieraMilano halls, the very best of Made in Italy will be proposed alongside selected international brands, as part of an offering that is destined to inspire international store windows for the Spring-Summer 2019 season. A selection which, according to forecasts, should attract a greater number of visitors to Milan than those registered at the February 2018 edition – 44,227 of which 60% coming from abroad – also thanks to the participation of delegations of buyers coming from the most promising markets for Italian footwear, as part of the organisational efforts of Assocalzaturifici in collaboration with the ICE Agency.
The exhibition’s layout confirms the Luxury proposal in Halls 1 and 3, with enrichment provided by the Fashion Square that will use its sparkling stage to propose haute couture brands and the event’s main activities. The Man Square, with its iconic shoe-shaped installation, will instead feature shoeshine stations, while Style Square will serve as the point of reference for meetings and dining among the stands of the most stylish brands. Halls 2-4-5- will instead be dedicated to the Contemporary proposal, with special consideration not only for the universe of children’s shoes, but also for the scouting of new emerging talents, with the Emerging Designers collections proposed in the FUN Square at the end of Hall 4. Hall 6 will instead host the Active proposal, while Hall 7 will be dedicated to Cosmopolitan offerings: in the latter area, the MICAM Square will once again host the rich programme of fashion shows and fashion trend and retail seminars, offering new ideas and sources of inspiration to visitors at the fair.
In other words, there are high expectations for the next edition of MICAM, which will dedicate an installation and special initiatives to the theme of Envy, while making preparations for the next stopover in the allegorical journey from Purgatory to Paradise, among the most enviable shoes.
