A dynamic and increasingly international fair:  this is the picture that emerged from the 57th edition of Aymod, which was held at the CNR Expo Yelsilkoy in Istanbul from 5 to 8 April 2017.  If there was only a slight increase in overall visitor turnout, with 17,000 total participants registered, it was instead surprising to see the figures regarding foreign turnout, which were up 50%, with 1,866 foreign visitors coming from 59 different countries:  these figures are even more meaningful, when considering the lower attendance numbers that are usually typical to the winter season…

In light of the delicate moment Turkey is currently going through from a political standpoint, as well as from the resulting economic moment, the positive outcome of this past edition was an important achievement, the merit of which can be attributed to the work done by the CNR Holding Company Pozitif Fairs, the organizer of the event.  An undertaking aimed at increasing the quality of the selection, which at this edition saw the participation of more than 1400 national and international brands in a trend area that offered buyers a look at the latest trends for the current purchasing season.  However, at the same time, the fair was also focused on increasing the number of opportunities for making new contacts and doing business, while also enabling a greater number of visits from buyers coming from some of the most promising markets for Turkey:  at this edition, there was a special emphasis on those coming from Russia, the Middle East, and the United Arab Emirates.

On the wave of optimism characterizing Aymod, Tulay Tosun, the new marketing manager of the fair declares:  “We would like to relaunch the Aymod brand and reinforce it on the European market, while also increasing its visibility”.  A declaration of intent that will be fulfilled starting with the next edition of event to be held from 4 to 7 October 2017, for the presentation of the Summer 2018 collections.
