The adventurous spirit of Tom Joule celebrates 30 yearsIt was 1989 when Tom Joule made its first appearance with its own booth at a trade show in Leicestershire, introducing its collection focused on English traditional clothing revamped with a new twist and a more fashionable and alluring touch. Now as it was then, this adventurous spirit tied into nature is the inspiration for the Tom Joule collections of both footwear and clothing: a look designed to face the cold, wind and heavy rain in absolute comfort and with a cheerful disposition.

tom-joule_low2It is in fact this adventurous spirit that was behind the decision of the brand’s creative team to leave for the Lake District looking for inspiration for the 30th anniversary, surrounded by charming stretches of water, enchanted forests and spectacular hills. This experience led to the creation of a footwear collection characterised by the use of resistant and waterproof materials, functional details and a palette of colours recalling the liveliness of nature in autumn.
For Her, we find the most acclaimed models as well as some novelties: the new Roll Up wellies are lighter, more versatile, practical and are proposed alongside their own carry bag, as the perfect item for on-the-go lifestyles. There are also new fabrics in neoprene and equestrian details for a style that remains tied into the brand’s Heritage. Instead, for those looking for a premium product, we find leather boots, Chelsea ankle boots, but also heeled boots and classic high-knee boots characterised by small details.
For little girls and teens, Mini-me proposals are the buzzword and are enlivened by contrasting details, glitter, prints and distinctive colours, while for little boys we have the mini-me Stomper leather boot and many other classic models revamped with bold patterns, as the perfect alternative to shoes and sneakers. There is also room for a mini-capsule collection dedicated to the summer season for both adults and children, featuring flip-flops, espadrilles, sandals, pumps in canvas and boat shoes.
